Just pulled up Global Incident. It always surprises me to see quakes in Oklahoma. OP what do you think? Results of fracking?
Quoting: Corn Dog Fracking is triggering the North American craton, which in turn could trigger the New Madrid Fault. Quoting: whiteangel North American craton, that is what I was looking for. I tried to pull up fault lines but got nowhere. So if I look at the map on this correctly then Oklahoma is near the platform/organic line. Map: [ link to geography.unt.edu] Quoting: Corn Dog Correct. As the craton moves, the edges usually are under the most stress. Those edges are not totally defined so even though it looks like OK is more towards the middle, it isn't. Quoting: whiteangel Thanks!
