Talk to me people -- I'm getting concerned Here in OK we are on the same mid continent plate as the New Madrid Nobody knows why the NM occurred -- or occurs -- where it is. What if the Pressures that "should" be building up for the NM to go off again on its usual cycle ... Are now breaking loose in OK on the Nemaha fault zone ???  Anybody else thinking this way? Ideas? Somebody tell me why OK is NOT the next NM No one knows hon. What it most likely is from is post glacial rebound effect. OK is right on the horseshoe shape of this. Do a search on it, and see if you think this explains it for you. I have read that many think OK and the NMF are linkedYes, I have as well
