No not the most powerful, rather the weakest in 100 years, but that is what they were saying at the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012. By the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014, they were then saying this was the lowest/weakest solar max in 250 years.

I have been all over this for several years as is Luisport. For me it began back in the mid 1970's in a history class in high school - yes, that days me and yes I am 55 years old!! lol! Those who know me, know this story but here goes again. My history teacher back then was so cool, really loved teaching and loved the students. He was a hippie and though he conformed to the teacher dress code of slacks and a dress shirt, he refused the tie and his long hair was kept in a pony tail.

He told us, my class of 1977, would see a mini ice-age when we were 50-60 years of age. He said the solar max in the 2010's would be so low that our climate would change to a cooler time. This would lead to crop failures and food shortages.

Now think about it. How did my crazy hippie history teacher know back in the mid 1970's that this would happen? How did he know that Solar Cycle 24 (I don't think he called it that but he could have - that was a long time ago) would be so weak it would bring about a mini ice age?? There was a big scare back in the 1970's about a coming ice age. It was pooh poohed to the point that no one believed it was true and it disappeared from the headlines. The White House was informed back then - it was in the Times or another magazine like that. Do a search, the info is out there.

Our government would never never tell us this was coming in fear it would cause panic. They would just quietly start stock piling themselves - oh wait you mean like they already are doing? The department of Agriculture ordering sub-machine guns and tactical gear should have been a major RED FLAG for everyone. Yup, they will say it is to protect their people when they are checking farms and drug dealers are there --- wait isn't that what the ATF and DEA are for?

How the HELL did my hippie teacher in the mid-1970's know a solar maximum was going to be so low this decade it could cause a mini-ice-age? Keep asking yourself that question over and over and see if you ever come up with an answer. Then ask yourself why our government has been stock-piling!?!?
