Glad it was too far from you. Question - if a big one happened in that area and it caused a tsunami, would that effect you or any tsunami for that matter? I always worry about you because of the tsunami threat that southern AK faces.

Irks me that USGS never matches other agencies on the size of the quakes. They have 5.7 yet everyone else shows higher, like this one:

6.2

I'm pretty far inland so i think I'm safe but it depends where the epicenter is too Cook inlet isn't far at all and the areas I'm usually in for work in the summer had major damage and tsunami destruction in 1964 what really stinks is there is only one way in and out i think about that a lot driving around the arm I'd be stuck there a long time if it happened again... it's only a matter of time kinda like a crap game lol Vegas odds

A filament channel located in the southeast quadrant erupted on Wednesday afternoon. The event produced a coronal mass ejection (CME) that so far appears to be headed mostly away from our planet. More updates to follow. Image below by STEREO Ahead COR2.

I am reading a serious about Yellowstone exploding which in turn causes other massive quakes to occur.

If it was large enough, it would shake the Earth and one would expect several major quakes to happen in a short time if not at the same time. When you think about it, it could scare the crap out of ya!!!
