Scientists teleport quantum information across the room
Researchers working at TU Delft's Kavli Institute of Nanoscience in the Netherlands claim to have successfully transferred data via teleportation. By exploiting the quantum phenomenon known as particle entanglement, the team says it transferred information across a 3 m (10 ft) distance, without the information actually traveling through the intervening space.

Sure seems like there are a lot of stories surfacing

Mind Control Scientists Find New Memory Manipulation Technology
Update to the ongoing quest by neuroscientists to manipulate human thought ... and what we can do to combat it.

The race to decode the brain continues, and quickens by the day. A wild array of new possibilities are opening in the field of mind control. The mind control of the future forgoes all pretense at indirectly altering perception through media and politics, or even mind-altering drugs and environmental toxins. The mind control of the future goes straight into direct programming and rewiring of the human brain.

These new mind control techniques are being introduced in gadgets that create a brain-computer interface, magnetic manipulation via "neural dust," and even the direct uploading of the contents of our brain. One must then consider the subsequent hacking of our minds in the digital realm.

Memory research is a key component of this as well, and neuroscientists are making great strides to ensure that our memories are destined to become fully controllable.

Laugh at the tin-foil-hatters but have read on several different sites that this might actually help if tp tb ever tried to control the people with some sort of mind control. If it is even possible to help, might be a good idea to prep several extra rolls of foil if things hit the fan. Control the people to keep rioting from happening - sounds good on one hand but on the other.....evil.

^^^Nailed it! It is so very true.

It's kinda funny because I recently was speaking with a GLP'er about how the times have changed. Specifically relationships/love. For example, and this will sound very corny so get ready...lol, I think that my papa (grandfather) and my dad are the shining examples of good men. Gentlemen. Polite, loving, caring, honest, etc...

I just don't see those qualities in my generation or anything after mine. With ONE exception to the rule (thus far), which is one of my baby sisters. She lucked out! The guys her age these days are pigs! And she is currently engaged to the most amazing guy. The two of them remind me of my nanny and papa and give me a little bit of hope that true love does/can still exist. : )

Which leads me back to my point...lol, sorry...rough day, scatter-brained!

Back to the example...when my grandparents were 13 years old they met. And that was the beginning of the never ending love story. They were never with anyone else, ever. Just each other. And they are still in love today. : )

My parents...my dad is still madly, and I mean madly, in love with my mom. And she is madly in love with him. They've been married for over 25 years now (my mom only turns 50 this month).

Music and television were SO different in their days than they were in my days (I'm referring to like high school years/college years). A lot of the music on the radio in my days, and even worse now, just disrespects women and encourages men to be "playas." The language allowed now both on TV and in music was NOT allowed when my grandparents were in high school. Their programming was far different than my generations'.

Not even sure I made a point what-so-ever in that rant! chuckle

Rare form...bad day at work = that mess above ^^^^

I've had a higher than normal stressful week at work. Sorry that today was the day you chose to read through some, hehe. My main stress is my work environment. GLP is like my therapy...if that sounds crazy to anyone, I challenge anyone to sit at my desk for 1 week...40 hours. At my work...ugh! Scratch that, I would never wish that upon anyone.

Tomorrow is my appointment with the oncologist, but on Friday, maybe I will attempt to record just what takes place there. I really need at least 1 more person to understand what I'm dealing with. Currently the only person who truly knows is a co-worker. ONE co-worker who can SEE exactly what is going on in that building. No one else sees shit. It's just me and her. I worry about her health because of it. The poor thing is pregnant while dealing with this insanity.

For me to even CONSIDER moving back in with my parents speaks volumes about my work environment. I do NOT want to move back in with my parents!

:cruise big:

I have a child to raise and a mortgage to pay (and all those other fun bills/expenses that come along with everything). I couldn't afford any of that if I walked out today. But it's a real shitty feeling to have to contemplate that pretty much every single day. For years. I don't have much fight left inside of me for that place. I have been used and abused there for too long. It has officially destroyed my health. And I am convinced that I will breathe my last breath in that awful place.

So welcome to my 9-5, lol.

I come here and have true, loving, caring, beautiful, intelligent, etc... people to communicate with. It is a breath of fresh air. For me. : )

Ugh CS, I am feeling your pain!! This has been the WORST week ever at my job! My computer crashed out of nowhere (ya, hmmm) on Saturday (when I'm not in), I had already pre-planned on taking Monday off (just in case, lol) and got back to the torture chamber, I mean office, yesterday to find a computer which could not be used, and which was also the company's "server." My computer acted as the company's server. So if/when my computer shits the bed, the company as a whole suffers. But naturally, I suffer most. Because the logic in that place is that I should be responsible for fixing the problem because I happen to work at the computer that is, and shouldn't be, acting as a server for the company's network folders/files. Over the years I have had to learn, on my own, how to work on computers...IT stuff. With zero background/school on these things it is extremely frustrating to have to learn it on your own. Takes longer than it should, which = wasted time. I have NO time to waste. The shit storm is still brewing in there because I have yet to get a new computer (how this is even a true statement blows my mind!) so we have been in a world of disaster there.

CS, I shit you not, it got so bad/intense there today that I texted my mother and asked her if I could temporarily move back home (after being on my own for years) if I truly needed to walk out today. The last time I felt the way I did today was when I was kept in the hospital overnight due to my heart rate. No joking, I'm having far more serious chest pains tonight than I was that night. But I'm not going to the damn hospital. I know that's stupid, but it is what it is. I'm not going. I won't even tell my mother because she would come pick my ass up and make me go. I just can't. That would only further stress me out.

Okay, rant over....I'm gonna go find me another rabbit hole to get lost in. chuckle

I do what I can, but at the end of the day there isn't a whole lot of time for me to take care of me. If/when there seems to be some time, I am exhausted. But can't sleep, like tonight, because my heart has been pounding out of my chest since 10:00am (more than 15 hours). It's intense to the point that I physically couldn't fall asleep right now. Even though I am drained. Stinks. I think I might do my body a favor and medicate tonight. At least I'd get some sleep. : )

Normally a handful of times doesn't occur within a year. I'm gonna shut up with all of this tonight. Sometimes I say too much and shouldn't. Especially about my job. I shouldn't do that, but I just need to vent sometimes. hf

Description
One person died and another was hospitalized after a chemical leak on a fishing boat at a Kodiak harbor Wednesday. The Kodiak Police Department responded on Wednesday to a report of a refrigeration leak aboard the fishing vessel Alpine Cove, which was at the St. Herman Harbor on Near Island. Emergency responders treated crew members on the scene, Kodiak police said in a news release. "A member of the crew contacted emergency services to let them know that he'd woken up and smelled something strange," U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Shawn Eggert said Wednesday. "He went to wake his buddies up aboard the boat to get them off." Cody Cecil, 30, of Everett, Wash., was pronounced dead at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center. Another crew member, Francis Rutten, 56, of Snohomish, Wash., is being treated for Freon gas exposure at the same hospital. He seems to be recovering, Eggert said. In all, five crew members were evacuated from the vessel.
