Pentagon Orders Aircraft Carrier To Gulf To Add Iraq Military Option

U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel ordered an aircraft carrier moved into the Gulf on Saturday, readying it in case Washington decides to pursue a military option after insurgents overwhelmed a string of Iraqi cities this week and threatened Baghdad.

[Editor's Note: Phil Schneider used to work for the government and was involved in the construction of Deep Underground Military Bases (DUMB bases). In talks given in 1995, he said that there were 129 active deep military bases in America and two more under construction, He confirmed (at that ime) that there existed a minimum of two underground bases in each state. Border agent laments gang members entering U.S.: ‘Why are we letting him in here?’

Border Patrol officials are swamped by the number of minors crossing illegally into the United States and frustrated that they can’t turn away known Mexican gang members.

Chris Cabrera, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307 in the Rio Grande Valley, said that confirmed gang members in Mexico — including those from Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) — are coming into the country to be reunited with their families, National Review reported Friday.

“If he’s a confirmed gang member in his own country, why are we letting him in here? … I’ve heard people come in and say, ‘You’re going to let me go, just like you let my mother go, just like you let my sister go. You’re going to let me go as well, and the government’s going to take care of us,’” Mr. Cabrera told the magazine.

Border Patrol changing diapers, heating baby formula for surge of children

Gil Kerlikowske, commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said Friday that many of the illegal immigrant children his agents are encountering trying to slip across the U.S.-Mexico border have never even seen a doctor before.
He described scenes of Border Patrol agents changing diapers and heating baby formula in order to care for some of the youngest children, and said agents are being asked to do things way beyond their skill set — particularly for so many of the agents who are young, single men.

Hikers Volcano: "We felt tremors"

The Piton de la Fournaise volcano is vigilance since Thursday. The Prefect of Reunion has made an order to temporarily restrict access to the upper part of the enclosure. Some hikers have traveled authorized trails and felt small tremors and small landslides.

Since Thursday, the Piton de la Fournaise is under increased scrutiny. Following an increase in activity at the beginning of the week, the level of vigilance Orsec device specific "Piton de la Fournaise Volcano" was triggered.

The activity of the Piton de la Fournaise has increased recently after more than 3 years of calm. Seismicity remains active with 50 earthquakes recorded on Wednesday and 45 on Thursday. The hypothesis of an imminent eruption is now excluded but there is a risk of collapse at the Dolomieu.
