New vent opens up at Etna volcano, Italy

A new vent opened yesterday morning at 09:14 UTC at Etna volcano, Italy. The new vent is located about 150 - 200 metres north of the two previous vents at the eastern base of the NE crater.

Its activity is characterized by small strombolian explosions while a lava flow continues to be weakly alimented from one of the two other vents, VolcanoDiscovery repots.

Once sunspots are no longer earth facing, they grow in size and pop off large flares. This is the phenomena that I have was speaking about when stating it was what was happening just before the Maunder Minimum. Earth facing spots decay down to nothing only to grow again once they rotate to the back side. I've watched huge spots just decay to nothing once they rotate around from the backside on the east limb. Just crazy.

I know,the earth facing quiet spree must have somthing to do with the extremly low max,but I think its part of one of the larger cycles( optimum judgment)
