Gonna have to do a not-so-ideal treatment, but it's the only current treatment available to cure an illness I have. A chronic illness. Quoting: Simple27 So I have a couple weeks to pretend I'm normal and live regularly. Then I will be sick for a few months and hopefully be ok afterwards. Life is strange.... Thank you all for being a part of my journey. : ) Hmm sad to hear... truly wish YOU BETTER soon Love! |

AKObserver User ID: 726289 United States 12/11/2014 12:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This was very interesting a story I didn't know... Revealing the Secrets of “San Francisco’s Titanic” By Katie Teshima The morning of February 22, 1901, was much like any other on San Francisco Bay. A thick blanket of fog spread across the water as the steamer City of Rio de Janeiro approached the Golden Gate, laden with passengers and freight from Hong Kong, Yokohama and Honolulu. Returning to San Francisco after more than two months at sea, the City of Rio’s cabins brimmed with the hopes and dreams of Chinese and Japanese immigrants seeking a new life in the United States. Up on deck, Captain William Ward and Pilot Frederick Jordan steered what they thought to be a safe course into the narrow mouth of the Bay, but could make out no landmarks through the damp gray void. Shortly after 5 a.m., with visibility still at zero, disaster struck. The 345-foot steamer had veered too far south on its approach and suddenly ground to a halt on the jagged rocks of Fort Point, tearing a massive gash in its iron hull. A strong ebb tide soon pushed it back off of the rocks and allowed the frigid winter waters of the Pacific to rush into the engine room and cargo holds.Passengers and crew fought their way to the deck, but confusion reigned on the rapidly sinking ship. Within a matter of minutes, the City of Rio succumbed to its wounds and slipped beneath the waves, taking with it 128 of the 210 lives on board. Now, with the help of several private partners and cutting-edge technology, NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries has brought back the first-ever 3-D images of this long-lost shipwreck, which historians have called the “Titanic of the Golden Gate.” the rest of the story [link to sanctuaries.noaa.gov] |

Hundreds of thousands of black mussels have washed ashore, nearly covering the sand in some stretches of the beach. Researchers originally thought red tide, a type of toxic algae bloom, was to blame. (MORE: Couple's Engagement Photo Goes Viral) But some marine experts disagree, saying the mussels were alive when they washed ashore. The marine experts suspect huge swells and currents ripped the mussels right off the reefs and carried them to shore. Either way, officials are warning people they shouldn’t consider these mussels for dinner. video [link to www.weather.com] |

I don't even know why I brought it up. Just a shitty night. I have some health issues. One of which is chronic. It will/would have killed me. But a new treatment has very recently been approved that can cure it. My health condition is bad enough that I qualify to be approved for treatment immediately. As soon as the paperwork is done and insurance is all set. I expect to start the treatment in a couple of weeks. It's a 3 month treatment. I won't feel well during those three months which stinks, but it will ultimately cure me...so it's worth it. : ) ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
