For those who don't know: [ link to www.mlive.com] The sun's poles are switching polarity, but what does that mean for us? We have a north and south pole here on earth. The sun has the same. The sun's poles are in the process of changing polarity. This may sound like something devastating to earth, but it's actually a process that happens about every 11 years. The important part of the sun's polarity change is it marks the peak of the sunspot cycle. ----------------------------------------------- In other words, it is what marks the solar maximum is over and the minimum is on the way. Quoting: whiteangel Thank you for that explanation, WA. : )
