Simple27 (OP) User ID: 57832527 United States 02/25/2015 09:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Far Side of the Moon Has Phases and Now You Can See 'Em (Video) A new video from a NASA satellite orbiting the moon brings the phases of the far side of the lunar body into the light. The phases of the moon — full moon, new moon, crescent and everything in between — also occur on the side facing away from Earth, according to data gathered by the NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO). As the moon and the Earth move together around the sun, both sides of the planet's natural satellite experience phases of light and dark. You can watch the LRO video featuring lunar data and images. The reason Earth only sees one side of the moon is that the two objects spin in a certain way relative to one another. The moon rotates as it orbits around the Earth, but its orbit and its rotation are matched, causing only one side to ever face the Earth — a phenomenon called tidal locking. JazzyG Forum Administrator User ID: 5725534 United States 02/25/2015 10:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My dog is acting nutzoid today. He keeps jumping up, whining like he's scared and running for the kitchen/back door. Then he turns around and walks back to his bed, fussing over it. He starts nosing it, pushing it, tugging on it and finally climbs back into it, only to jump up and repeat 1/2 hour later. I've checked him, his fur, outside, the kitchen and his bed. NOTHING. He's been doing this since this morning. To know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders. A rock in bad hands killed Abel. A rock in good hands killed Goliath. It isn't about the rock. A true warrior fights not because he hates the one in front of him, but because he loves those behind him. INTP-A |

deanoZXT User ID: 66505870 United States 02/25/2015 11:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As always, I glance around the map. Then zoom in to Washington St. Saw a hazard on the coast. It was weird. About a shark. Then went to local news sites. Found this... State Wild Life Offices have conformed a GREAT WHITE to be in shallow waters. There have been a couple half eaten harbor seals washing up half eaten. They could tell by the teeth marks and spacing. I've been to Ocean Shores a lot. It's pretty populated, has a Casino resort, and in the summer is a huge tourist area. Lot's of fishing to do as well as all outdoors stuff. Hope it's gone by summer time. It's one of those places that has like 5 or 6,000 population. But in the summer months, it's like 25,000. There are whole areas of vacation cabins.
