New eruption at Cleveland Volcano in Alaska

The Alaska Volcano Observatory detected that a new (so far minor) eruptive episode has started at the volcano recently:

“Elevated surface temperatures have been detected in satellite images at the summit of Cleveland for the past week, and an image from June 14 shows very light ash cover on the volcano’s upper flanks. Thus the volcano has entered a renewed period of unrest and we are raising the Color Code to Yellow and the Alert Level to Advisory.

The increase in temperature at the summit is consistent with renewed growth of the small lava dome within the summit crater. The possibility of sudden explosions has increased.”

Japan’s Mount Shindake volcano erupts a second time in 20 days

June 2015 – JAPAN – Mount Shindake rumbled back to life Thursday as a second eruption rocked Kuchinoerabu Island off Kagoshima Prefecture shortly past noon, the Meteorological Agency said. The scale of the volcano’s first eruption in 20 days was smaller than its May 29 blast but apparently took from 12:17 p.m. to around 12:47 p.m. to complete, the weather agency said. Initially, the agency had difficulty confirming the eruption because of bad weather, but a Japan Coast Guard vessel reportedly confirmed seeing small rocks falling while on patrol about 9 km east of the volcan

I know the Fraser River is long. But in the Winter, down in the Puget Sound region of Washington, that is were a lot of our snowy Winter storms come from. Down and out of the Fraser River Valley. So, see, it really is Canada's fault for the USA's cold air in the Winter.

Chem trailed big time. We get that from time to time. I stay indoors on those days.

That would make sense as that was the release date to San Andreas - WHICH I NEED TO WATCH AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
