They should have put you in the coolers..In Jewett TX a tornado came through and the manager saved lives by getting the customers into the coolers.

Glad it wasn't worse.

She's been cruisin' for a bruisin' that one. Ridiculous today. I'd never hit her obviously, but sometimes I do have to remind myself that she's under 18.

She doesn't look under 18, or act under 18. <-- my current biggest direct life issues. :/

Ahhh. Been there more times than I can count. Raising 5 girls was soooo much fun...ugh.

My solution to that age old problem was to give them what they asked for...

"So you want to be treated like an adult? Ok. Here is your new list of chores. And since you're an adult now, that means that you will be expected to finish them TONIGHT regardless of how long that takes. Can't have the little kids being left without socks or their homework gone over now can we? And while you're at it, the dog needs a bath and his flea meds. And he has a vet visit tomorrow. You'll have to fit that in after school. No time for hanging with friends...you're an adult now remember?"

About 2 days of that and they were begging to be teenagers again.

Yeah but it only worked on the first 2. The last 3 found more sinister ways to torment us...like sneaking out in the middle of the night and forging absence notes when they skipped school.

Dumb nuts didn't know that the school called me when they didn't show up.

Don't think I didn't miss the opportunity to let them know that an ADULT would have known that in advance.
