I am not from the east coast and I use it frequently (when in the proper environment for such language). Personally, I can't stand the east coast. I couldn't leave there soon enough when travel out there is required. So, I really hope it's not an 'east coast' thing...I certainly don't want to mistaken for one of 'them.'

At least I can enunciate my R's, so I probably don't have to fear that someone may think that's where I hail from.
