Woke up this morning. It looked orange out. So I took some pics. This was around 8am. I'm sure it's from all the wildfires. But Seattle is so far west. For sure smoke in the upper atmosphere.

The best news of all is that you and your son are alive and kicking Invisible one.

I used to fight wildland fires in my youth, one of many occupations in the day. Fire and water are awesome forces of nature. Cool to look at (camping fire or large surf) but insanely powerful when they rage.

I've been reporting on Hurricane Danny which is weakening heading into the Caribbean, but I think it may surprise and possibly rebound. There is also an invest (95L ?) off the Mid-Atlantic coast of US to watch and also something brewing off the coast of Alaska heading into Canada. Maybe this system will bring much needed heavy rain for the Northwestern US and Western Canada. If so, beware of mudslides though, sure you've seen that before too.

Hang in there bud.

I have to say. I'm somewhat disappointed. For some reason, I had the picture of an older 80's model Winnebago. Not a newer model coach with popouts.

Honestly, the only things I know about Canada I get from reruns of The Red Green Show, Trailer Park Boys and what I read on the back of Maple Syrup bottles. I apologize.

well I moved here to Oregon last year and was deep in debt when I did it, but while it was difficult, it was good for me, and now that I am a bit caught up on some stuff, am thinking of seeing if I can maybe be up to doing some travelling since my budget situation is looking a bit better. Plus, last year when I left, while I appreciated the scenery on the road, I was also mourning the loss of someone I loved, and not in a good midset, to say the least.

Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated
SHORT-TERM GEOCOSMICS

As stated in last week’s column, “Our focus now shifts to the heavily populated geocosmic time band of August 13 through September 8. There are two important patterns forming during this geocosmic cluster. The first is the Sun, which will translate the forthcoming T-square of Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune. It starts off with the square to Saturn on August 21, followed by the conjunction of Jupiter on August 26, and ending with the opposition to Neptune on August 31. This will offer a glimpse into the Jupiter/Neptune opposition on September 17 (as Mercury also turns retrograde), and of the Saturn/Neptune square of November 2015 through September 2016.” If this is a preview of what to expect in mid-September, then instead of the “irrational exuberance” oftentimes associated with Jupiter an Neptune contacts, we are more likely to witness “panic and hysteria,” the other side of the Jupiter/Neptune dynamic.

This whole mutable Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square that is approaching will get another big test next week. On August 26, the Sun will conjunct Jupiter, which would normally be a bullish indicator, But in the midst of a collapsing market, it could instead just indicate exaggeration of the selloff. On August 29, a mutable full Moon in Virgo-Pisces will occur very close to Neptune. The dynamic of Neptune relates to issues of trust, and the sense of losing control. The stock market appears to be losing trust in its banking and political leaders.

Fed Chair Janet Yellen appears paralyzed and lacking certainty about what to do. This is not surprising, as this column also reported recently that between June and September, transiting Saturn (retrograde in late Scorpio) is forming a T-square to her Sun/Moon opposition. This a signature of loss – loss of credibility, along with demands to do something, and criticism for either doing nothing or doing what others perceive as the wrong thing. It is not a time of popularity. This same dynamic is about to hit President Obama as well, but extending late this month through November. The mutable full Moon falls on his natal Pluto (power and rejection), square his natal Moon (emotions). Transiting Saturn (obstacle) forms a T-square to both those natal planets September through November. He is in danger of losing support for his Iran nuclear deal (Pluto), even within his own party, and perhaps something else not yet known.

In terms of equity markets and geocosmic signatures, the next two weeks are critical. They will indicate a very serious washout may continue, or a bottom and sharp reversal unfolds. I think we could see both, followed by another washout before the December. Too many retrogrades, too much Jupiter/Neptune, combined with a mutable full Moon involving Neptune, indicates a lack of control. It may also indicate a lot of rains and floods, a highlight on plunging oil prices, and a continuation of (dis)trust issues for politicians seeking or holding high office.

LONGER-TERM THOUGHTS AND MUNDANE ASTROLOGY

The stock market behavior last week looks and feels a lot like September 2008. Every week stock prices just kept falling further and further, until the DJIA finally bottomed in March 2009, about 54% below its high 15 months earlier in October 2007. Back then, it was the beginning of Cardinal Climax, with Saturn approaching its first opposition to Uranus. It got started in earnest around mid-September 2008, when a full moon in Pisces conjoined Uranus in late Pisces slightly before Saturn would oppose that same Uranus on November 4, 2008, with the historic election of Barack Obama. Now here we are, on the verge of similar cosmic set up in similar signs. Saturn is approaching its long-term 36-year waning square aspect to Neptune in November 2015, and next weekend there will be a potent full Moon in Pisces that will conjunct Neptune. Yes, once again it is a full Moon (Virgo Sun, Pisces Moon), as it was with the Sun in Virgo and Moon in Pisces in September 2008. Once again the full moon brings into play a far out planet that is about to enter a hard aspect with Saturn. Back then it was Uranus, this time it is Neptune. The hard aspect makes its first official contact in November 2015, and back then it was in November 2008. That is a lot of similarities, cosmically speaking.

Yet, these are not the only similarities. As discussed at length in the Forecast 2015 Book, the year 2008 was also the last time that Mercury went retrograde (and direct) in air signs, a cosmic phenomenon that happens about once every 7 years. Mercury went retrograde at 22° Libra on September 24. This time it will turn retrograde at 16° Libra on September 17, the same day Jupiter will be in opposition to Neptune.

There is yet another rare and repetitive cosmic pattern in force, as discussed by International Cycles Report Editor Mark Shtayerman in last month’s ICR report. This is the 8-year Venus retrograde cycle that starts in late Leo and early Virgo, as this one did on July 24. Shtayerman discovered that within 18 months of this 8-year geocosmic cycle, the U.S. economy enters a recession. By the looks of the Chinese devaluation and the market’s response, it is not unrealistic to see that cycle returning again this time with similar results. In fact, I believe it will.

In the meantime, there are some positive dynamics also associated with these forthcoming geocosmic signatures, outside the world of finance. It still favors love and romance, and new relationships that can have promise, as long as there is trust between the parties concerned. Trust is the important issue now and for the next few weeks, even the next several months with the approaching Saturn/Neptune aspect. No trust, no love. No love, no money. Money is like food, air, and water. You need each to survive. With Saturn (lack of) coming to square Neptune (trust and water), there is a strong clue about how to conduct your life for the most success next year, and also what area to invest in. I love the entire Oregon area west of 5 and from Lincoln City in the north to where I am in the south, what I saw of it, it's beautiful. Coos Bay is a good city, but a bit large for me to consider living in full time. I realize I do best near small towns or communities to settle in, but there is also something about being able to just pick up and go that appeals to me. Having three dogs does make it more difficult, but not impossible. Nothing is impossible, you know? Plus, once summer tourist season ends, a lot of places have great winter discounts. :)
