Since there's more folks around this afternoon, I'll ask again: Does anyone know how we could get a list of seismicity for the area around the Aleutian Islands JUST PRIOR TO the large mega thrust EQs in 1946 and 1957? Maybe for the 3 days prior? I remember seeing Dutch showing historical seismicity prior to quakes in Australia-New Zealand awhile back, but I can't figure out HOW or WHERE he got it from. Thanks!!! Quoting: LostAndFound60 I do! It's the USGS earthquake archives. Just input the range of dates and magnitude (you don't need all the other info) and you can find the historical seismicity for the area: [ link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Quoting: CuriousSeeker Darn....despite changing the parameters a dozen times, I can't get it to show anything but over 6.0's ALL AFTER the big megathrust quakes....
