Oh BTW...I get to pick up my new hearing aids on Wednesday.
Did I update this thread already? I hope I did but I don't remember...
First time ever with two since until now with SSD (single sided deafness) I've only been able to utilize one in my good ear that has moderate > severe hearing loss.
Ain't technology grand?

Awesome Well, the second one is not really a full fledged hearing aid per se, since I am so deaf in my dead ear it cannot be amplified, but it is a transmitter. It sends sound from the left side to the good ear's hearing aid, so technically with the set of aids I am not missing anything and from what others have said, the limitations of SSD are reduced and in some cases eliminated. Such as: they don't have to pay attention to which side someone else is sitting on, they have to expend much less effort to hear, etc. We'll see how well I do with them!!  You will have to give us an update on how well it works! Absolutely!!!!
