Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated

He is an odd character (special needs, not sure) but hits more than he misses.

So I have had a massive headache ALL day with two doses of tylenol - one at 4:00 a.m. then another at 11:00 a.m. siiiiiiighhhh

Nothing's working. Here's hoping some food will help.

Okay, rub some Vicks vapor rub on it. Keep away from eyes. I did this for my daughter who recently had a headache for over a week, and viola, it was gone!

And that was suppose to be from the next, not the night, lol

You will have to page down a few posts, it was posted 2 hours ago. I'm not on FB myself so I can't click the actual post and link only that page.

Anyway, maybe I'm being a little paranoid here after that Oklahoma quake, but I know clouds can sport various weird looks prior to quakes and this looks a little odd to me. I hope the movement doesn't head east from OK like it often does.

I'll work on sleeping it off after I eat and if that doesn't help I will head on over to the grocery store this evening and grab some vapor rub.

For years I heard about Vick's (generic is fine) working to stop a cough when rubbed on the soles of your feet. Honestly thought it was silly. Finally when a horrible coughing fit took hold, I did this and in 2-3 minutes it was over. I am known to cough for a solid 15 minutes at a time and yes, usually end up puking. Now, as soon as I get a cough (this is my asthma sign, not always a wheezer), I slather my feet in this stuff, put on socks and I can sleep for 6 hours solid! With out it, only an hour here or there.

Another thing, when I still had teeth, I had horrible dental pain several times a month. 2 percocets didn't touch the pain. I rubbed Vicks on it and viola, pain was gone. It was the craziest thing I thought the pain pills just started working. Next day the pain was worse and without taking any kind of meds, rub Vicks on the side of the mouth, on the outside, and in 2 minutes the pain was gone. Just simply done.

Next, my daughter has horrible bunions since she was 7. I kept telling her to rub Vicks on them and she would give me that teenager look that says the parent has lost their mind. She finally was hurting so bad she broke down and rubbed in on her feet. She wasn't even done with the 2nd foot before the pain in the first was gone. The look on her face WAS PRICELESS!

So when I push the crazy Vick's Vapor Rub - I have a good reason. Try it!

NEW slip occurring below Mount Rainier in Washington state.

Wait a second, I thought the PNSN (pacific northwest seismic network) said this only happens once a year?

But the last slow slip event was just a month ago 120 miles to the North near Victoria BC... doesn't this make TWO slow slips in the past 2 months?

Instead of the slow slip event going away (like they said it would back in December), the slow slip now has SPREAD TO THE SOUTHEAST , to the nearest volcano, now slipping below Mount Rainier Volcano.

I need some clarification on this, is the PNSN actually trying to say this new slow slip event is related to the last slow slip event back in December near Victoria?

Are they separate events?

If they are related events, then we have the PNSN confirming something I've been showing for years (but they were denying) -- showing that pressure transfers East by Southeast across the edge of the plate.

If the PNSN says they are not related, then we have a case of the PNSN being totally wrong about the 1st swarm near Victoria being nothing to worry about, and saying it wouldn't develop out to other areas over 100 miles away.

In other words, either way the PNSN got it wrong. Either they got it wrong whey they said earthquakes don't spread to the East, or they got it wrong when they said the 1st slow slip wouldn't grow.

Also, it is worthy to note that the earthquakes "slow slip" spread from Victoria to the nearest Volcano to the Southeast.. Mount Rainier..... just as we would expect... the volcano nearby is the release point for the Eastward transferring pressure.

I'm with you Sis, this last week has been rough at times. I'm having almost OBE type dreams at night, with people I don't know but in the dream state I've known them forever. When I wake up its very disconcerting.

I am horrified that I have to go out into that arctic blast. Winds are crazy! My house sounds like it's going to blow over. I'm getting extreme cold and wind chill warnings mentioning both frostbite and hypothermia now.
