Hey I.D., do you know anything about the Raleigh area? I have an interview for a job there (via skype for this first round). I have never been there. Have done some research and although most of what I read is positive, I don't know that I can picture myself there. Any insight is appreciated. I posed this question once before when I first applied, so if you responded then I apologize, as I didn't see it.

I'll be honest.....I've only went through there on the interstate during my trips up north.

I've never once stopped there.I have some friends on FB who live there....I've never heard anything bad.

One good thing....its like, an hour from here....so you'll be an hour from the coast

Thanks, I appreciate the response. It's weird, I cannot find one single person who has been there, or knows someone close who has insider info. I'm not really a beach person, so that's not quite the draw for me as it would be for most. Of course, it's pretty and might be nice to have a quick day trip option for something different, but I'm more of a mountain person - which I hear is about 2 hrs. from Raleigh so that is plus. I wish this job was in Asheville, which I think would be a better fit for me. In the mountains and climate-wise, much more my cup of tea. I need winter. A real winter. And I'm fearful of Raleigh summers, it sounds like it is consistently hot/humid. Where I live we have hot, humid summers too, but not every day unless there is an oddball heat wave. There are breaks and ups and downs that help me get through it. It just sounds sweltering there for months on end.

If I did totally changed a lot about my life. I could loose a lot of weight. Like 50lbs or more. But no matter how successful I was at getting in shape. There's always about 4 pounds I could never loose.

Yeah, the summers here can get sticky!!! The mountains on the western side of the state are truly beautiful, though!!!
