That is bad stomach problems. It's just a fact of life for me now. It's been that way since I was in my twenties Interesting my Pisces sister. When I went into labor and arrived at the hospital (about two and a half weeks early) I was told not to push! They would get my doctor there asap! My mom was the only other person in the room aside from doctors at the time of my delivery. She actually cut the umbilical cord. And she told me 'thank God for the umbilical cord or she would have hit the wall!' Haha! I gave a good heeve ho! I actually tried to pretend I wasn't having contractions. Soldier status. Damn monitor gave me away! Lol! All natural I went. Not by choice! Ouch. Just ouch haha!!! They put the epidural in and that stopped the whole thing. Daughter said fine, and slid right back up. I had her 6 hours later!!! By the time I had her they had to turn the epidural off as I wasn't pushing good enough - she was stuck, I couldn't. As is, she was born sunny-side up instead of face down like normal and thus reason she was stuck. Back labor with her was horrific!!!! Son was breech so they turned him the week before they planned to induce at 38 weeks (daughter born at 38 weeks also both labors started then naturally). Since they were using ultra sound during the turning, they should have known he had a huge head (he finally grew into it) but no, no one said a thing. Then he was born, it took two nurses on top of me to help push him out. I split 4 ways up into thigh muscle on the sides (took 6 months to heal). Was told later it would have been much better to have done a C-section. Had emergency surgery after the birth as I was hemorrhaging and to repair the botched birth by the idiot doctor. Thank God for my two, for I would never ever ever go through that again. They say mom's forget the pain and have more children, not me!!!!! Plus, hubby was snipped two weeks after I found out I was preggo with son. He didn't want to see me go through any more losses - lost 6 before my two angels were born. How's that for a little TMI???? Lots of relatives there and spent most summers with them as a kid. I'm actually headed there this weekend for a family gathering. Will be breezing right through Indiana along the way. Indiana's the best part of the drive. Hills and actually very pretty in parts. Unlike Illnois, which is flat and ugly from beginning to end. It's amazing here. Quiet, clean, friendly, easy going people. I live in a town of 1900 people and that's spread out over lots and lots of farmland. The 'town' itself probably only covers a square mile...lol. Who could blame you?! Geesh! And same lol. That's why I have one child. My contractions were also in my back, not stomach, which was part of the reason I didn't realize that I was in labor (plus being early) and ended up being fully dilated when I got to the hospital. I also tore and began to hemorrhage because of the super push to get her out lol. When I felt the pain of my first push I decided right then and there that she was coming out on the second push. No way was I gonna be able to deal with that. And she did. There was no 'oh here comes the head, here comes the shoulders' lol. They practically had to catch her! Which was why my mom said thank God for the umbilical cord. Luckily I didn't require surgery. They shot me with something in my thigh to stop the bleeding. Which made me extremely sick. It took a while before I even got to hold her. I guess there was panic in the room because of my bleeding according to my mom, but I didn't realize how serious it was. Lol, TMI times 2? And I left out some unpleasant details. ;-) ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Was in Dayton, of all places, at my aunt's house. We were in her living room, and all the sudden something just felt...off. I couldn't place what was happening, but I froze and looked across the room at the wall of artwork she had hanging, and noticed they were ever-so-slightly shaking. Then I noticed something else barely swaying. Then my aunt said something about it, and chalked it up to having just turned the washer on in the other room. But once she knew I felt it too, we realized it was an EQ. Shortly thereafter, it was breaking news. I think it was a 2.5! Super small, but centered right around there so we felt it. They made a big joke out of it in the media there- on the news, on the front page the next day, and Elder Beerman stores even sold t-shirts that said, "I survived the great Dayton Quake" and it had a 2.5 on it with the state of ohio. Of course, my aunt bought me one. God damn I would kill to still have that t-shirt. They only sold big boxy man shirts back then (no kid versions either), so it would probably still fit! |

And I left out some unpleasant details. ;-) I left out a LOT of unpleasant details. I do remember one thing after my son was born and being carried to the layette for them to do their thing (I was in shock, blood pressure only 50/30 and yes I remember that clearly) him peeing across the room. It was funny and everyone was laughing. I sit back and watch the world. People running around, hurrying everywhere, worrying about everything, being hateful and angry toward everyone, never caring for the person who sits next to them unless they are part of their tight little clans. Quoting: JazzyG Nobody just takes a moment to just stand still and breathe. To smell the roses so to speak. Why doesn't anyone notice the flowers anymore? They stand out like a blinding light from amidst all the garbage that surrounds them. They never lost their beauty. They were never drained of their sweet scent. They're still there. It's just that people have allowed them to fade into the background of chaos. Stand still and see. So over the doom. To know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders.
