So why is this freaking you out, are you thinking major tidal wave? Probably volcano?

That's the thing about earthquakes....

There might be numerous concerning swarms but that doesn't mean they're going to result in a big one.

Then, there can be an area that has been totally silent and all of a sudden WHAM!

Or you can have an earthquake happen in one place with barely any movement but which causes catastrophe hundreds of miles away.

No sense in worrying. You can't run from em. The only thing you could possibly do is fly above them and even then, you still have to land somewhere.

Deep earthquake activity in Katla volcano

Today (23-June-2016) a deep earthquake swarm took place in Katla volcano. None of the earthquakes that took place where strong, but many of them where deep. The deepest earthquake had the depth of 28 km, at this depth it’s only magma that creates earthquakes.

Within recent days, the level of the Skaftá river at Sveinstindur has risen slowly. Additionally electrical conductivity readings from the same location have increased.

These observations suggest that a glacial outburst flood (jökulhlaup) is in progress.
