Don't know if you all heard about this yet. Came to post it but of course, GLP is already on it! Thread: Police Officer Shot In St. Louis Suburb... UPDATE: Police Chief: Officer Was 'Ambushed' This is in the western suburbs of STL, about 20 min. due west of downtown. It's very much middle/upper middle class area that is full of people who think by living out there they will avoid anything and everything "bad". This will be a real eye opener. Only caught a small bit of the news conference held around 3:30CST. The cop was shot in the neck and is in critical but stable condition. The suspect was apprehended and doesn't seem to be from here but I'm not sure. Name not released yet. Has a long rap sheet but those crimes I saw listed were OK, CA. Was recently paroled, yet committed this crime with an automatic weapon. Things are bad, very bad, everywhere. Hang on folks. Is this the same shooting as the 22 year old who called 911 to report his vehicle had been broken into and when the officer arrived, as soon as he stepped out of his cruiser, the suspect shot at him? I saw it on the news, but it has a different story from the story in the link. What I heard on the news wasn't a traffic stop and the officer wasn't shot in the neck. They said he was shot 3 times I believe. 2 hit his bullet proof vest and 1 hit under the bottom of the vest in his abdomen. In Georgia. This isn't two separate shootings is it? This is all so sad. : ( I hadn't heard of the incident you mentioned. The one I posted about was here in STL from earlier today. Just watched the news-cop is still in critical but stable condition. No new info.
