Bless her. I wish strength and love to you and your family. Thank you KickinIt. Her service is on Wednesday morning and it will be difficult.  I will be thinking of you tomorrow, Jo. It's obvious you were close to your mom. I, too, had an awesome mom and losing her is the most difficult thing I've coped with to this day. And it's been 10 years now. I can tell you it definitely gets easier, but it's still hard and I miss her daily. My advice to you is simply to do what you need to do to take care of yourself and help yourself feel better for a while, until it's not so acute. Easier said than done, but I found it to be crucial to keep me going until the pain began to subside and I found my footing. I hope the celebration of your mom is beautiful and brings you some semblance of peace. My heart goes out to you, your dad, and all of your mom's family and friends.  |

I GOT TO WALK TODAY!!!!!!! I have been generally hopping on my left leg with crutches, using my right knee with 100% weight for balance. At my doctor's office, I walked about 25 ft using my right and left legs with crutches for the first time in two months!!!!! YEEEEEAAAHHH!!! Oh it feels good. Still gotta keep my right leg straight -- gotta see the plastic surgeon but my doctor is happy with how my necrotic skin is healing and thinks it is only superficial, but still wants the plastics guy to weigh in with his opinion. |
