Some great updates from my doctor's appointment today:

1/4 more of the necrotic skin has been removed by my doctor. The BEST news: skin IS growing underneath!!!! As soon as the necrotic area is gone I will be able to bend my knee on my own. My doctor DID bend my knee himself, however. I was expecting my knee to be super stiff and sore when he bent it but it was not - which was surprising.

I also walked farther with my crutches than I had done last week by walking up to my doctor's office without the aid of a wheel chair. Unfortunately right after I arrived on the third floor (I used the elevator), my knees both collapsed and I had to take a wheel chair back down after my appointment.

Oh man I cannot wait to bend my knee on my own. That means I will be able to sleep in my own bed (instead of being in a recliner 24/7), take a shower, and resume some normal life activities. I am so over these sponge baths!

OMG NO! Sharon Jones died! Go to hell 2016! Jesus, the number of outstanding music artists that have died this year is unbelievable. I'm broken up about this. Have Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings on my turntable right now. It's been there for a couple of weeks. One of the best live shows I've been to. DAMN!
