I've been comparing the data you link from: [link to www.emsc-csem.org] with the data on [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] and I'm wondering about the difference.

It looks like emsc is more accurate, a minute or so faster and actually lists all the earthquakes instead of picking and choosing. . .

the usgs site left out the recent quakes (last hour) in Chile. Why would they do that?

The usgs site is way easier to use and look at - but do they have an agenda?
