Mom is still in surgical ICU. They paralyzed her lower legs. :( Rare occurrence, only 7 cases since 1978. It's making recovery hard because she can't do physical therapy. Not to mention what the future holds. Unreal.. Paraplegia after cardiac surgery in adults is rare.
