Now, with that being said, the movement in the Philippines is probably connected to an extent and perhaps set the tone for this one. I have no idea if that made sense  Makes sense!  Does make sense, and kind of what I was thinking... I mean technically this just ADDS to the pressure of the previous deep earthquake and now we are not only looking for the shallow earthquake from the 7.3 but now this one as well....? _________ To die would be an awfully big adventure. | Anonymous Coward User ID: 73721241 Finland01/22/2017 01:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | On a more serious note, we did anticipate a larger one coming to PNG/Solomon Islands after the last deep 7.9 on 12/17/2016. I thought it would take a few days, well it took over a month. What is disturbing though is the depth.... it should have been shallow more in the 10-40km range. Interesting to see how the "aftershocks" pop up... should not produce too many unless it's building up for a global shaker. What is also noteworthy... we have been really fortunate with tsunamis don't you think? Luck has a tendency to fade out. -Finland |
