I realize no one ever mentions their probable predictions for California, nor New Madrid Fault. Those are the ones I am interested in.
Quoting: WhiteAngel probable and prediction is something that does not fit together in California or New Madrid context. The most brightest geologists can't even do it... They can only give an estimation for example 50 years... 20 years... Internet is full of fake predictions, also something to be aware of. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73721241 Have you ever studied precursors or things that point to a large quake in CA? From time to time it just feels like one is coming but only moderates ones happen. Quoting: WhiteAngel Can't say I have, there are however locals who might have better knowledge of the precursors. It's really difficult to even discern a pattern because there have been only six 7+ in the last 100 years in California. The sample is simply too small. -Finland Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73721241 If an imminent massive quake would strike, I think the USGS would know about it a few hours in advance through their equipment... if they will give a heads up, that I cannot say.
