Wubbo Ockels User ID: 73573114 Netherlands 01/27/2017 12:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | SUNSPOT GENESIS: Barely visible only 24 hours ago, a new sunspot group big enough to swallow Earth is bubbling up through the solar surface. Watch the rapid genesis of this new active region in a movie from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory: Quoting: Simple27 Pic showing Earth size comparison [link to spaceweather.com] Gif of sunspots [link to spaceweather.com] In recent months sunspot numbers have plummeted as the solar cycle crashes toward a new and deep Solar Minimum expected in 2019-2020. So what is this sunspot doing here? It's a reminder that the sun can produce spots at all phases of the solar cycle. Individual sunspots are completely unpredictable and may appear without notice at any time. Even during the great Maunder Minimum of the 17th century, a handful of sunspots were typically observed each year. This is important because sunspots produce solar flares. As a result, occasionally Solar Minimum explodes with solar flare activity. So far, baby sunspot AR2629 poses no threat for strong solar flares; its magnetic field is too stable for such explosions. However, this could change if its development proceeds apace. Stay tuned for updates. [link to spaceweather.com] They moved the start of the solar minimum up. It was suppose to be 2024!!!!! This is a major deal. This is a huge deal. This shows just how big this solar minimum could become!!! The Maunder Minimum is what many just keep referring to. This is when the "little ice age" happened. The Year without a summer. Crop failure was HUGE, huge I tell you. What happens when there is 7 billion people in the world and crops fail??? Famine. You all better be prepared. Seriously. source? if so, then cosmic ray levels will go through the roof in the next couple of years.. something never seen before in human history.. keep in mind that current levels are already nearing record levels (since monitoring) . R.I.P. for the real Wubbo Ockels. He was a true icon of my country, and a great front-fighter for sustainable energie/technology and humanism. "Yes, we have hurdles, we have distractions, we have disasters, personally and world-wide, and we do have to work it all out ourselves. BUT, there is a most amazing experience awaiting us on the other end of the finish-line. The idea being, once we can handle it all down here, then we can live and explore eternally, responsibly, because we know what not to do, and not be resentful about being responsible, so we don't start a polarity domino effect in the other realms of existence." "The Fraction" of Life can be increased in value not so much by increasing your Numerator as by lessening your Denominator. Nay, unless my Algebra deceive me, Unity itself divided by Zero will give Infinity." Thread: LADIES & GENTLEMEN: I PRESENT to YOU OUR NEW SUN !! |
Simple27 (OP) User ID: 72382901 United States 01/27/2017 01:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hello and thank you for all the updates! Interesting to see volcanic related discussion. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73849809 The last pattern turned out to be a MISS. Meaning 71% did not hold. 29% won. However the Lake Baykal anomaly is still very much true and we are awaiting the results. I'm noticing a rather disturbing similarity to the year 1959 with last few weeks quake activity. Certain rare locations are popping up which means there is a possibility we will see some real activity in the continental USA. I will post a more detailed picture where you can see the similarities. Of course it could be a coincidence or randomness, but I don't think nature really operates randomly. -Finland Hi Finland ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
