Can't even make this stuff up. Within minutes of my post a mutual friend/family friend reached out to me. He was real good friends with my cousin and knew him since my cousin was a young kid. He used to be into the drugs but has been clean for 10 years. My cousin's death is crushing this guy. Making him think about getting high. Totally down on himself for not answering my cousin's phone call 12 hours before he was found dead. The poor thing is really beating himself up. Anyway, we chatted for a bit, shared memories about my cousin, laughed (what a relief) and he seemed a lot better by the end of the conversation. Which made me happy. I was able to help someone after all. : )
