Simple27 (OP) User ID: 72382901 United States 05/19/2017 12:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Researchers in the U.S. and Japan say they may have found the cause of the first mass extinction of life on Earth. There have been five mass extinctions since the divergent evolution of early animals 600 to 450 million years ago. Volcanic activity was the cause of both the third and fourth, while an asteroid impact led to the fifth. But triggers of the first and second mass extinctions had, until now, been unknown. The new study strongly suggests volcanic activity caused the first mass extinction. It occurred at the end of the Ordovician. This age is between the divergence of the Ordovician and land invasion of vascular land plants and animals. Animals in the Ordovician-Silurian comprised marine animals like corals, trilobites, sea scorpions, orthoceras, brachiopods, graptolite, crinoid and jawless fish. Approximately 80 percent of species disappeared at the end of the Ordovician. Phys.Org Read more at: [link to phys.org (secure)] [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

See the video: The repertoire that will be published in the album - and presented at the Super Bock Super Rock festival - is based on the poetry of Fernando Pessoa, written in English during the stay of the poet and writer in South Africa in adolescence and signed mainly by the heteronym Alexander Search. Both Resende and Sobral, as well as the rest of the band, adopt fictional characters that represent the various English heteronyms of Fernando Pessoa. Augustus Search (composition, musical direction, piano and keyboards), Benjamin Cymbra (vocals), Marvel K. (guitar), Sgt William Byng (electronica) and Mr. Tagus (drums) are the five Alexander Search elements. |

Simple27 (OP) User ID: 48123712 United States 05/19/2017 05:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | New Study Blames Humans for Disruptive Space Weather Events Anthropogenic effects on the space environment started in the late 19th century and reached their peak in the 1960s when high-altitude nuclear explosions were carried out by several countries. These explosions created artificial radiation belts near Earth that resulted in major damages to satellites. Another, unexpected impact of the high-altitude nuclear tests was the electromagnetic pulse. Other anthropogenic impacts on the space environment include chemical release experiments, high-frequency wave heating of the ionosphere and the interaction of VLF (very low frequency) waves with the radiation belts. In a paper recently published in the journal Space Science Reviews, researchers reviewed the fundamental physical process behind these phenomena and discussed the observations of their impacts.
