KickinIt User ID: 74785546 United States 05/28/2017 11:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | According to my calculations, since the beginning of today UTC time, there have been 64 Turkey quakes in the 2-range. Those are the ones that we didn't post here. Quoting: KickinIt All these quakes make sense, as they are aftershocks from the bigger EQ in Turkey yesterday. BUT, what about the past several weeks that we've been posting non-stop Turkey quakes in the 2-3range? It seems like they've been having excessive quake activity for some time. So, are these 64 quakes truly aftershocks, or, to some degree, is this the new normal for Turkey? Someone please explain this Turkey situation to me, because I'm confused. We know Turkey is in a quake prone zone but honestly I don't have an answer for you my friend. Its possible there were pre-shocks, then a significant shock, then post EQs but I do agree they have been listed daily for some time now. And for all of the updates. Thanks. Maybe all those weeks of quake were pre shocks. I know they are quake prone, but it's been non-stop over there for a while. Hope you are feeling ok today! |

We drove the area when it was safe, I will never forget the felling that came over me... Quoting: Goofy for God Twenty years ago, one of the deadliest storms ever hit the town of Jarrell, Texas. May 27, 1997 forever changed that town. The storm killed 27 people, 13 of them children. In just 40 minutes, the first of 22 tornadoes would drop near Lorena, Texas and continue south over the next two hours. In a matter of minutes, it had grown into a F5 monster. What I wasn't prepared for is the rapid intensification from what was a small, narrow, relatively weak tornado in Prairie Dale, and four miles down the road -- it's 600 yards wide,” Curtis said. [link to www.wfaa.com] It was the first time in my life seeing nothing caused fellings I had never had before. I was trapped in a cellar as a child the town we lived in was blown away. When people make light or fun of storm threads I assume they have never faced one. I couldn't even imagine. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

It was close to midnight and I had just gotten home and it was nice out so I thought I'd go out and chill for 10 min. or so. Long story short, I had an opossum encounter. Almost gave me a heart attack. I'm officially afraid to go out there at night now. This city wildlife is too much. Soon you will be able to write your own version of "On The African Plains" by Jane Goodall. I suggest a wee doggie that will sprinkle your patio with doggie goodness and discourage the local wildlife from visiting. Plus, you get a faithful and loving housemate in the bargain. |
