The amount of 6+, 6.5+ and 7.0+ from the start of the year until 30th of May.

Here we can easily see, how we are lacking basically on all categories.
On 6.5+ the only lower amount is from 2007 which had three 8+...


Conclusion: Multiple 8+ coming this year, most probably one edging close to 9 magnitude.
It would need a large 8 to compensate for the lack of 6+ and 6.5+. A mere 8.0-8.4 won't do.
