Anyone here experience an earthquake before?
I have once - the 5.8 that hit Virginia in 2011. I'll never forget - I was walking out of my office building for lunch and noticed the semi-skyscraper building windows fluctuating and waving followed by hundreds of people evacuating and rushing onto the streets. Quite the rare occurance here in Northern VA.

I'm in St. Louis and the epicenter was on the Wabash fault in north central Illinois, so it was felt pretty good here. The noise that accompanied it was like nothing I've ever heard, and it was the sound that initially woke me up (it was around 4:30am). As I woke up it took me a second to realize my entire house was shaking. My bed was shaking HARD and I popped up to run to the front of the house (not sure why). I had trouble getting my footing! It was like walking on waves, I'll never forget it. Freaky as hell.
