KickinIt User ID: 74785546 United States 07/29/2017 12:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: ~Jazzy~ We're feeling that lovely weather now. Got down to the low 60's last night. Had to turn the window fan off...brrr...lol!! I'm in northern Virginia, 20 miles from D.C. Had flash flood warnings all night with the rain - still raining. Only 67 degrees out now which is welcomed by me. I live right by the potomac river ( VA, MD border ) i might go check the river out cause it's probably class 5 rapids at this point. Oh wow, I hadn't heard about all the flooding up there. I'm very familiar with that area - went to college in D.C. :) Still under flood warning till later this afternoon. I used to go to d.c. all the time on the weekends but not so much the last few years. Fun, but too expensive. I hate driving in that damn city - the worst. They did just open new metro stops right by me though Expensive is right! You can imagine how that sucked as a poor college kid. I had a p/t job while there, but it is really not a place for college kids with little money! Somehow I managed it though - still went out all the time. Georgetown, Adams-Morgan, etc. I didn't love D.C. but did have some good times there. The metro there is the best I've encountered. Bus system is actually very good too. I never had a car while living there, nor did I need one. And I agree, driving there sucks and is very confusing as well. |

I've seen some crazy people and things happen there. Last time i was on it, a year or so ago - i saw someone rob a homeless man of his hat full of money. He was immediately speared by a cop lol |

I had seen something I'd rather not repeat or remember, and the guy saw me see him. That's why I bolted. I think that's the fastest I ever ran! He did not come after me by the way - not that I know of. But I was scared he would. |

Only 13+ min. long this time! Sound doesn't work for first minute or so, FYI (I thought something was wrong with my laptop). In a nutshell: Due to 5.1 off N. Cali, expect an increase in midwest EQs, anywhere from upper 3's up to as big as 5.1. Also, at around 6:20 he gets into detail about the activity in the NW and it's relation to the strike-slip. Says it is concerning, but also notes it doesn't mean anything is imminent, as this kind of activity can go on for a long time. However, the longer it goes on the bigger the quakes it will ultimately produce (see Japan). |
