The only fresh produce I've got going here in the big city is a pot of basil. Which grows so fast I can't keep up with it. I'm going to take some to my friend when I see him tonight because it's getting too damn tall! Do you make a pesto with the overflow? Drizzle some olive oil, garlic, pine nuts and splash of lemon into blender or food processor with the basil, grind it up good. Makes nice topping on bruschetta or crackers. Isis One User ID: 75230280 United States 08/05/2017 01:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Chance of rain subsides after day of flooding in Las Vegas Quoting: joinca Six people were rescued from the wash behind the Linq on the Las Vegas Strip Friday afternoon after major flooding from rain showers across the valley. Clark County Fire Department officials say they pulled the people from rushing floodwaters behind the casino. Firefighters also rescued a person from flooding near Siegel Suites on Boulder Highway, and were still looking for another missing person, according to fire officials. The Strip got nearly a half-inch of rain Friday, which is the highest recorded amount of rainfall in the valley, according to the National Weather Service. Video on social media shows flooding inside the Linq parking garage with cars partially under water. [link to lasvegassun.com (secure)] Whoa!! Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... Isis One User ID: 75230280 United States 08/05/2017 02:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Quoting: Simple27 Thank you sweetie!!! Looks even worse now (and you are very welcome) Looks like it was headed worse then backed off a little but this will make two days of intensity. In that first video posted the woman explains the Schuman is a control mechanism to throttle Ascension BACK. I find this very interesting and am contemplating it. Her explanation made sense on couple levels. By her explanation then, it would mean that our consciousness is rising at a very significant rate and Schuman is trying to dampen it. The good news is these control mechanisms are losing strength meaning were going to ascend (evolve) anyway. And to that I say.....of course we are!!! Drizzle some olive oil, garlic, pine nuts and splash of lemon into blender or food processor with the basil, grind it up good. Makes nice topping on bruschetta or crackers. I have made pesto in the past. The reason I haven't made any lately is because I don't have that much basil. I could buy some to add to the mix, but that seems counter intuitive. The plant does grow fast though - more up than out, and it gets so tall that the wind wants to blow it over every time there's a storm. I just try to use it here and there but it seems I can't keep up. Last month a storm blew it over and off my table, and it broke the pot and one of the stalks broke off. Luckily the rest of the plant was unscathed. I froze those leaves that broke off to use later since I didn't have a use for them at the time. I just talked to my friend. We're gonna BBQ pizzas on the grill tonight so I'm taking some of the basil over there! (BBQ pizzas might sound a bit weird but we've done it before and it was delicious!). |

Quoting: KickinIt I wanna try a BBQ pizza!! And we will actually do a traditional BBQ chicken pizza. Chicken cooked on the grill in advance, and bbq sauce on the crust, of course. The other will be canadian bacon, onion and probably some veggies with regular red sauce. The key is keeping the heat low enough so you don't burn the crust before it's hot all around and the cheese is melted. I'm sure some toppings might not work as well doing it on the grill. We're using a gas grill BTW - not sure I'd want my pizza tasting like charcoal. It's something we tried on a whim and it worked out well and his daughter loved it so we figured we'd do it again. Also gonna make some wings. |
