I usually take one to work every day so I bought them pretty green so they wouldn't be too ripe by midweek. Oddly, they are still really green. It's almost Wednesday! I tried to eat one today anyway thinking it wouldn't be that bad, as I prefer them underripe, but hell, the thing wouldn't even peel right and when I finally got to it, I bit into it and it was sorta hard. Not apple or pear hard, but hard for a banana. I couldn't even eat a bite of it. The whole thing is strange. Usually they ripen like lightening and you can't keep up, these bastards won't ripen at all. :whatthehellbetty: That is pretty strange. Usually my bananas ripen way too fast and like you said, I'm trying to keep up with them. I haven't experienced your current situation. Ever. That I can remember anyway. Quoting: MsMc I grabbed a broken cup in the sink whilst washing up last night... Ugh grim.. had to go to next door neighbour for help as being right handed and bleeding out through my right index finger all I had been able to do proficiently was apply direct pressure. So she dressed it...i slathered the dressing in coconut oil 1st also applied dettol diluted to finger to clean it. I undid it this morning but the damn digit is still fl9wing with blood so I slathered it in coconut oil and patched myself back up. It's not infected...i can thank the oil for that!! But I think it may need. a stitch :( I hate needles mehhhh So I'll wait a couple of hours then have another look. I am a wimp lol poor me haha. Xx Oregano oil is better for wounds than coconut oil (though it is good too, just OO is better). After 8 hours, they can't stitch, if I remember right. Even though today’s earthquake struck nearly 300 km from the Wenchuan earthquake, based on the figure below, one can see that this area saw a significant stress increase, which more than doubled the likelihood of a M=6+ earthquake. The side-by-side figures below show the observed rates of seismicity prior to the Wenchuan earthquake (left), and the forecasted seismicity in the 10 years following as a result of the stress imparted by the Wenchuan (The location of today’s quake is labeled with a star). This comparison shows that due to the Wenchuan earthquake, the area around today’s event went from having a 4% chance of experiencing a large quake, to 10%.
