The only thing it did was blink the on/off button. So, I unhooked my husbands (hoping it was just my monitor and not the pc), plugged his into the base and viola...everything works. So, $96 bucks poorer and using hubbys' monitor until Wednesday, I'm baaaack. (I hope) [link to www.amazon.com (secure)] I can't hardly wait either...his monitor SUCKS. My great grandmother stopped taking her BP meds because she was feeling better. Shortly after had a stroke and ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. She died when I was still very little. And my mom had me very young...says something in itself. A good number of my family members are on a minimum of 2 meds for it. Some are on more. I love a large monitor. Yeah. I use external speakers now...Logitech bass speakers. My old monitor had speakers and I never used them. They sounded like tinny crap. No worries about the BP. Hubby is on Lisinopril 5 mg. It takes a few months to get the dosage worked out on most people but he's maintained his around 125/75 for months now, which is good for him and his heart disease. And the fact that your boss does not take his responsibility in that, is even more ridiculous. You need to grab him by the p...., oh wait balls and force him to listen. If not, you need to find something else. You have many skills in a lot of fields connected to what you do now. I remember this colleague who won the lottery and quit his job the next day. We were talking about it and another colleague said: "God wouldn't that be great? I would quit my job too if I win a million or so." And behold! The next week he won $250.000! When he got to work the next day, he went straight to the bosses' office, pulled down his pants, mooned him and said: "Okay and as of tomorrow I am only working part time!" (Needless to say we had a job opening shortly afterwards.) And Moon Girl, pssst.. there is an advantage in this blood pressure thing. You now got a legal excuse to let Nef do ALL the snow shoveling this winter. It is way to dangerous for you!  Oops.. sorry for the long post. Curse of writing.
