Jeez, that sucks. I've never heard of so many people with blood disorders as I have in the past several years. No idea what's up with that. I bet you the incidence has increased lately.

They leveled off to normal last year when I was being drained every so often, but I haven't been drained since last August and now my numbers are way up there again. High enough that I have to see a hematologist again. Blah. Do they know what causes it to increase? Thank goodness the draining works. My guess is that we will be revisiting the Polycythemia Vera possibility. That causes high hemoglobin and hematocrit. I wasn't diagnosed with it last year because I had a bone marrow biopsy done and it was negative for a JAK2 mutation gene. Per the WHO (World Health Organization), that is a new diagnostic criteria. No diagnosis = no relief My begging and crying (due to physical pain) last year led to the blood drainings (which is the only real treatment for polycythemia vera). Gomez was actually the one who told me to put my foot down and demand the blood infusions. I would have never known. It helped so much, for so long. But I need another one. ASAP.
