Even if they don't take your blood, they might be able to take your plasma. Some might take the blood to separate out the plasma afterward, thus giving you relief.

Most just take the plasma and leave the red blood cells etc in you though.

Royal Dutch Shell said on Sunday that it was shutting down its Deer Park Refinery, with a capacity of 340,000 barrels per day.
CNBC can also confirm that Exxon Mobil's Baytown, Texas, plant (560,000 b/d) is shut down.
Overall, expect more than 1 million barrels per day offline just from the Houston/Galveston area.
The BSEE says that almost 22 percent of current oil production from the Gulf of Mexico has been shut-in.

I saw that in another thread. I understand that the authorities have been notified and clearing that home of residents became a high priority. Some amazing things can happen when social media broadcasts an imminent threat to health and life. They will be helped, that's our consolation, but there is the lingering aftertaste of neglect and mistreatment that can't be overlooked. Tragic.
