USGS has this one listed as Colorado. It was right on the border, but the exact location was New Mexico. Just wanted to share. : )

I happened to watch about 10 minutes of Dutch's live feed last night, which I've never actually done. It was right before I went to bed, and probably 1/2 hour before the Mexico quake. In that short span I happened to catch his discussion on expectations of a very large quake somewhere on the west coast of north america - in part due to the deep Japan quake (movement would transfer east from there), and also due to the volcanoes. He said when there is a lot of volcanic activity and then it suddenly stops, that's when you should worry about a larger quake coming. And a lot of the activity had recently stopped in Mexico and Central America. And now with this large quake you are right, that volcanic activity should pick up again.

I honestly was wondering when this would happen

My wife is 6 days overdue also. Last night I thought for sure after the quake she would start feeling contractions but no.
Between her stress and my stress and all the crazy things happening everywhere Im fearful for my child now growing up in such crazy times now.

Good morning Kickin! I agree, lots going on. But it is not just that. There is a sense of global havoc. People getting over the top energetic in their behavior or feel totally drained. Almost erratic behaviour. I experienced it at work today. I usually let every thing pass me by or join in when things get a little vocal on my department, but the past days I actually had to tell people to tune it down a notch. They looked at me like: "What happened to you?" Or maybe it is just me and I notice to much these days.

The hurricanes, earth quakes, North Korea. Our society is on the run. Running the 100 meters faster than Usain Bolt. To where, to what? I am ridiculously positive most of the time and I always have a firm belief in deadline solutions making a turn to the better, but I can not help noticing that this whole havoc experience will have to come to a conclusion one of these coming days. Either through weather or war, or through untiy, sticking together and love.

I sometimes feel a spectator, hovering above everything, as a character in the book Needful Things by Stephen King (also a movie.) But also there, despite the chaos and destruction, the good overcame the bad. So we have to hold our base, or find it back and we will overcome also these troubled times. Be the base or if you do not feel strong enough, stick to the ones that stand tall in any hurricane. And we will be alright, even if it is through tears, heartache and desperation.

Take it nice and slow today, Simple, try and stay seated with both your feet on the floor and of course drink water when you feel thirsty. Its almost at the noon hour, half the work day is done, hang in there!

I definitely agree with you. And this has been the case for some time. At least on my end, I have felt it for a good 2 years or so.

Good morning Simple!

How are you doing today?

Nutshell: Dutch confirms to look for movement both above and below the Mexico quake. Said to expect swarms along the plate boundaries, which are put into motion from such a large quake (he noted Utah, which is on the plate edge, occurred immediately after Mexico). Normally the energy would not transfer north up into U.S. but it does when there is a quake of this size.

Watch areas on high alert for next 3 days for a 6.0-6.9 EQ:

Central cali around NV border, down to L.A., Long Valley, and into Baja Mexico.

South America, including Ecuador, Colombia and Peru

Caribbean islands: Due to natural transfer of energy both south and due east from where Mexico quake occurred.

If no quakes of this size occur within 3 days he would change his prediction from a warning to a watch, and would expect a slightly smaller magnitude for these same areas.
