My daughter will be 15 next month. Omg that makes me feel OLD lol! But she is still very much in the belief of 'nothing will happen' whenever I say no to certain places that she asks to go. Or certain things she asks to do. I have to constantly remind her that when bad things happen, the victims didn't set out that day/night thinking something bad could/would happen to them either. She isn't 'sheltered' by any means, I just don't allow her to do things or go places that 14 year old girls shouldn't be doing or going.

As alert and mature as she is for her age, she does suffer from the face-constantly-in-phone disease. And of course still has her 14/15 year old times when she is less mature. But like your son, she would put herself in danger to help someone else. Double edged sword these days. :\

Petty was found unconscious, not breathing and in full cardiac arrest at his home, according to TMZ, and rushed to the hospital and placed on life support. EMTs were able to find a pulse when they found him, but TMZ reported that the hospital found no brain activity when he arrived. A decision was made to pull life support. CBS originally confirmed Petty's death per the Los Angeles Police Department, but TMZ claims the musician is still on life support.

Starting raining again - rained all last night. Current temp is 35 and dropping fast. On the first day of Fall, we were 90, by 4pm it was 76 and hasn't been above that since.

Apparently, he is still on life support. He has a pulse, though it is weak but his brain is dead. Some people would classify that as 'alive'. I DO NOT. They're keeping the blood flowing through a meat sack, nothing more, and have robbed him of any dignity in death.

Personally, I just think the family is keeping him on LS until the night is over so that his 'death' doesn't coincide with the events in Las Vegas.
