Speaking of mullein, I am going to start growing several giant mullein plants in the next week or so, so they will be ready for transplanting come Spring time. Mullein is great for lung ailments and top it with turmeric - it really does help.

Can't grow turmeric where I live and too big for indoors - so will order the root and grind myself after reading about all the lead that is ending up in the powdered turmeric!

Great idea! I haven't tried mullein myself yet, but I do have the powdered turmeric. Haven't touched it since hearing about the lead.

Is it capsules or loose powder?

The loose powder will be safer than capsules. Usually we buy our powders from American herb crafters and are safe - usually. The capsules are more than likely done in China-death. They are poisoning us on purpose and never forget it when you get something from that godforsaken land

I know!! I don't want to go into the new year sick! I feel like that's a bad omen!

This morning at like 6:30am I woke up with a bad belly, took some more Ny-Quil and went back to bed. Woke up around 1:00pm coughing my ass off and all congested. Made a glass of water with Emergen-C in it, took 1000 mg of chewable (lol) vitamin C and now have made a vodka cocktail.

Gotta make some buffalo chicken dip for game night which starts at 6:00 (just over an over from now).

The struggle is real!

I'll push through until Monday and then I will rest my ass off!

Dang, that doesn't sound good. You're a trooper though! Maybe all that hot sauce in the buffalo chicken dip will kill some germs too. Don't give up, keep fighting it!

Put Vick's vapor rub on the bottom of your feet and then put socks on. Helps that coughing big time.

I honestly think I would be dead by now if I hadn't learned this trick. When I had pneumonia in 2014, one of the worst parts was uncontrollable coughing. Hospital almost put me on a vent because nothing else they could do worked.

Once home, started the mullein/turmeric tea and rubbing the Vick's on the bottoms of my feet. Those two things got me through it all. The coughing was killing me. We all knew it.

If you have mason jars put in there (it is worth getting a case of jelly jars - 4 oz size- for your herbs. I got a huge amount after Gomez sent my my first bunch and I vacuum sealed several jars of it and re-seal the one jar I use after a sickness has passed. Keeps it fresh longer.

Interesting, I did not know this. Hopefully I won't need this trick, but I'm glad to know it. I love the smell of Vick's - reminds me of childhood.

Rub it on your outside cheek over a toothache and that helps amazingly also. I had nasty horrible teeth and abscessed gums. Pain was bad and only morphine helped and that was only a little. Vick's worked and no more narcotics.
