I'm becoming a big believer of karosine heaters because they are an independent heat source when all has failed

Hope the house heats up soon

I love mine. It heats our entire house, except for the upstairs which we don't even use or heat. It's just a converted attic anyways. The only thing that sucks is that you can't regulate the heat. You either have to turn it off for a while or open a window (which at 2 degrees, I am absolutely NOT doing).

20+ years ago, we used to heat our old house with just a kerosene heater. The price of kerosene has gone up considerably since then. Although it's extremely warm heat, it's expensive to use...sigh

We've got an electric blower that attaches right to the top of the heater cage. It's great for distributing the heat to a wider area. We got it years ago when we had our old house. They don't make the blowers anymore though, so hubs makes sure he keeps it in running order. The damn goober can't allow us to have anything that actually works and keeps us off their grid...sigh
