For the most part. We are still having some issues with black ice in the shady areas. Trucks have been out putting dirt (yes, dirt) on them where they can. Where I live is pretty rural so there are a LOT of shady spots. They went ahead and cancelled schools for the week, but the mail is back on and my wife, who works for a university, is back to work. Just very cold for another couple of days. Not as cold as what y'all are getting, but cold for us. My poor heat pumps are having a hard time keeping up.

I hope all is well for you and I am a little worried that Simple hasn't checked in yet. I hope she hasn't lost power in that nasty, nasty cold they were getting up there.

Dirt? No kiddin... Guess it's better than nothing. Yeah i had to reignite my heat pumps pilot light this morning and the water still isn't getting very hot. Supposed to be close to 50 on monday here, so hopefully it warms up down there too.

Yup... dirt and sand is all we have. No plows or salt or anything, just regular state trucks and folks with shovels...lol. We are SOO not good with snow here.

Understandably so... having your area prepared for snow every winter would probably be a huge waste of tax payers money.
