Out of curiosity, in 1960 between 4/15/1960 - 5/11/1960 there was a period of 26 days without 6+.

We are now at 23 days.

Quiz: what happened in 5/22/1960 ie 11 days after that ? :)

To be fair and objective, there have been over 20 day lulls for example in 9/24/2016 - 10/15/2016 without a massive quake in near vicinity. Bear in mind though, 7.9 hit NZ on Nov 2016 and a 7.8, 7.9 and a 7.6 in December.
