We're expecting a snow storm Saturday. Just to give you an idea how fucked up weather forecasts are now, the weatherman showed one computer model that predicts 2.0 inches of snow. Then, he showed another model that said we're gonna get 23.1 inches.

Can we PLEASE go back to the good old days where weathermen relied on balloons and their own instincts to predict this shit??

OMG

ETA: Another channel at least had some dignity and refused to give any totals, saying the models just weren't agreeing.

Ok. Video update didn't get any response so I'll go back to the text updates. Yes, I know...I admit it, I am not that good looking anyway even though I lost 85 lbs. ...anyway...back to text updates it is........

============================

Gotta reset expectations a bit. Had a bit of a set back today. After some investigation my Physical Therapist identified the fact that I am not really using my tendon very much while walking. So we initiated a protocol of exercises that get me to shifting weight properly and using that tendon again. And boy did it get a workout!

There is no pain or anything like that. Just weakness. Which is good I guess. Anyway...

My ROM hasn't increased very much. I've increased my Dynasplint use to 4 hours per day and have been doing this every day per my surgeon's recommendation and it's still at like 90 degrees. I'm sure it's going to take a bit of use with the Dynasplint to get my ROM beyond 90 degrees.

And: WOW I really was not walking normal at all before. It has been over a year since I've used this tendon properly. On the parallel bars I could barely just start stepping properly.

I have a lot of work to do, so I booked two more PT appointments. They could not get these two appointments at the time because they had already booked up January.

Back to the grind it is!
 Quoting: CuriousSeeker

Well, it was a long recovery before you could even walk again, so I can imagine it will take time for your muscles and tendons to get back to normal operation. Just keep at it, you'll get there. You already are, albeit slower than you'd like I'm sure.
 Quoting: KickinIt

Yep! That it was. My PT is usually wrong about the length of time for recovery because I don't really think they understand, even when I say it, everything I've been through from this surgery.

Speaking of weird weather, it is raining. It is raining hard. It is January, our NORMALLY coldest month. It was 53 today and 68 yesterday. It is still too warm right now to snow. Sheesh!!!!

You should!

I would love it if we had an updated weather thread for the world. We could even compare storms to quakes!

If you plan on sticking around, MoN, I would highly suggest starting such thread. : )

energy from Fiji can go all directions, when it goes east its south america or central america, looks like it went to central america and should continue out towards the mid atlantic ridge, if this holds true watch caribean even columbia and venezaula....

so many deep ones in fiji the last month and no biggies....

Thank you for sharing what you are thinking, makes much sense.

Question/opinion...do you think that volcano erupting for the first time in history (PNG) has anything to do with it?

It being the 7.6 Honduras quake.
 Quoting: Simple27

I think the eruption is also Fiji related, too many unanswered deep Fiji quakes....hf
