WhiteAngel also known at WA User ID: 13752844 United States 04/04/2018 07:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hope the new asthma meds make a huge (positive) difference for you! Quoting: Simple27 Glad the CT results weren't bad, but I'm with you, definitely stay on top of that just in case. Hubby has never ever said a word about my smoking. He said he will never be like my brother who gives me hell about EVERYTHING. He said, "I think it is time you went on the patches and gave it up completely. I know you don't actually smoke anymore so it is just the stress-relief that you need." I don't really smoke. I don't inhale and haven't since Dec. Just draw into my mouth (no nasty comments please), not even into my throat or I cough like crazy. But it is a relaxation thing. Sigh...... I need to walk and then walk some more but how when I canNOT breath???? Quality of life sucks. I can't figure out how I am going to make it to his graduation which will be held at CU in Boulder - it is huge and the long walks will kill me. God have mercy! Get an e-cig! Not the fancy vape contraptions where you have to buy all the oils, but just a plain ol' e-cig. You can buy them with or without nicotine, and if you haven't been inhaling you don't need the nicotine anymore anyway. like you said, it's the act of smoking that's calming. An e-cig can give you that. Great minds.....I was just talking to my hubby about getting one. I had one but can't find the cart for the thing now. And you are right, it is the act of smoking that I find calming! It will start late afternoon/early evening and continue until midnight. Quoting: KickinIt Jazzy, it's probably coming your way later in the weekend. Our cities are weather twins. It's certainly safer than cigarettes and far less toxic. A water vape. It could still give you that hand to mouth thing plus the sensation of 'smoking' although you aren't. Might be worth a try? I hate hearing that you're suffering physically. : ( Did you ever try that Bronkaid? ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
Simple27 (OP) User ID: 75856824 United States 04/04/2018 08:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I guess I could use my daughter's boot and claim I have a bad sprain.....seriously, I love my brother but he would bitch, bitch, bitch about anything I have ever done that has lead to my breathing problems. Quoting: WhiteAngel He forgets I have been an asthmatic since BIRTH!!!! I'm sorry folks, I don't mean to rant and rage but him coming sends my stress levels through the roof. Any I even like him a lot - half the time, lol. Fuck him. Let him bitch. It's not his lungs you're using. I actually feel a bit this way right now Jazzy. I'm fat and have lung troubles. The fat, I can actually lay at his feet. Weird I know but the more he used to gripe because I was 10 lbs over weight the more I would eat. When our mama was dying, he griped and griped and I ate and ate! Now, over 100lbs overweight That's really terrible that he does this to you. It's like an abusive relationship, but you can't ever fully get away because it's your brother. :\ I'm sorry my friend. I love you and I think you are beautiful and wonderful. We all hope for the best and that he checks in with us when he can. Quoting: WhiteAngel Mornin'! Yup same. Hope he can check in soonish! Agreed, been thinking about him too. Hope he can check back soon. I think his original surgery was supposed to be on a Wed. as well, and at that time he said he wouldn't be released from the hospital until Sunday. So that's my guess this time as well. Your memory is very impressive! ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

An e-cig can give you that. I'm still catching up lol!!! This too WA! I use an e-cig. Got me off of real cigs years ago now. And honestly, I wasn't even trying to quit. Just figured I would give it a shot since it worked for my mom. I went from smoking a pack of Marlboro's per day (some days a little more) to ZERO cigarettes when I tried this specific e-cig. [link to www.greensmoke.com (secure)] Note - I had tried one other brand of e-cigs previous to the Green Smoke one and I lasted a matter of hours before I ran out and bought a pack of cigarettes. If you're gonna give it a try, I highly recommend this one. I NEVER smoked another real cigarette after trying that one for the first time. Worked for my mom too, who had been smoking a lot longer than I had been. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75746114 United States 04/04/2018 08:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, my friend passed away Saturday afternoon. I didn't have a chance to make the trip back home to see him. Really didn't think he'd be gone so soon. He hadn't seen or talked to any of his family in years. There were a lot of problems between them...which is just fucked up when you look back on it now. He held on until they all made it there to be with him, then he let go. Wish I could have seen him one more time. But I still feel at peace. Because I know he does too. |
