Going on three weeks now, thought the pain in ear and teeth was a sinus infection. Turns out its looking like my shingles has reactivated and gone into my inner ear nerve. Completely deaf in left ear. Stabbing pain in ear and jaw seems to be the give away to shingles. No blisters though, although now my back is getting sore where I had the shingles last time. Pain is soooo stressful.

That's interesting, from what I've read I would've guessed higher than 5%. I really hope it's a mild case that doesn't linger too long! I feel for you. Yeah, I think I have it wrong. Lots of people get recurrence. I've been reading so much last two days it was something else I was thinking about.
