OK, so that's a lot of lightening and schumann was calm all day. So when we see the big white spiking and white wash its definitely man-made. Stinkers.

Volcanoes National Park to close on Friday due to possible explosive steam event at Kilauea

Park officials fear that a steam-induced explosion, and subsequent ash fall may be possible at the summit, due to the receding lava lake. The majority of the park will be closed until further notice.

LEAP OF FAITH - two major events happened tonight.

Let May 10, 2018 be known as the day I am first taking a real step with my right leg without the aid of a walker, or a cane.

When I say taking a first real step I really mean: walking like a semi-crippled person but putting full weight on my right quadriceps tendon, and dipping down a little but back up when I use the muscles. But much better than before.

Two major events happened in one night:

1. As I was doing the full-weight-on-my-right-knee walking exercises with my walker I decided to do it hands-free, you know, for science. There were no major issues except the usual weakness which I am always battling with constant, daily PT exercises.

2. Since that went pretty well, I took a leap of faith and did it without assistance - no cane, no walker. Nothing. Just me.

OH MY GOD I am really finally walking again. Kind of crippled at least, but I am. OH MY GOD. I can put the full weight on my knee without falling like I did when I first tore the tendon.

Yep. Another one of those crying moments. I really am going to walk like a normal person again!!!

Remote. But the heightened activity continues to escalate and get worse. Unless something major changes I am continuing to call for a mega quake like Japan 2011.

Good Morning Quaketards/Volcanotards.

I need some coffee and go down for my breakfast. I haven't been down to the lobby during breakfast hours in a couple mornings. Liz told me they have the eggs back as of yesterday. She goes down every morning. Just something about toasted English muffins and sausage w/out the egg just isn't quite right.

Forgot to answer you, apologies. The similarities to the 2011 Japan earthquake continue so that is something we're all still watching, as well as the west coast.

Earthquake activity in general is up, however that is a normal trend for the month of May. Although it picked up fast and furious the first week of this month.

As always, we wait and see.
