Hmm there is one other thing that possibly might work and that is a landline I noticed when I was up north a lot of people still have their landline but then again everybody's on speed dial nobody knows each other's phone number

With this one.. Three 5.0+ earthquakes hit in ~23 minutes, all with a depth of 10 km and along a line in the ring of fire.

edit: The Guam quake was updated and is showing 40 km depth

Not at the time that I'm aware of, but there was that 4.4 earthquake yesterday.

I have a couple of locations if time allows me to get there in a situation where I would need to.

Not liking this one at all.

And the fact they are getting bigger and bigger...

5.8 is nothing in that area
Tell me if it's a >6 or 7 then we might be talking a foreshock

A powerful but short-lived explosion occurred at the summit of the Kilauea volcano on Hawaii's Big Island, producing a massive volcanic cloud, officials said.
The cloud reached 30,000 feet above sea level -- higher than Mt. Everest, officials said at a news conference.

Staff from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park were evacuated and officials warned residents in the path of the ash plume to shelter in place. Officials later said the ash fall was mostly localized.
